I... I dont understand!! I just got him today, he is still a baby. He is about the size of a mouse. Hes a black bear syrian. Whenever i put my hand in the cage, he freaks out and hides in his puzzle playground thing. He has a huge bin cage. I am a new hamster owner. I bought a female Syrian yesterday. I named her Buttercup. With her I bought pine shavings (first mistake) and natural cotton nesting material (second mistake). Hello. I just got my first hamster yesterday. I wasn't really planning on getting one, but my brother found one loose at the place he works at. She's a cream colored syrian hamster. and still currently nameless.
